On June 25, the 33rd national“Land Day” was held in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, to analyze land policies and exchange typical experiences around the theme of“Economizing and intensive land use, strictly observing the red line of cultivated land”. The event launched a series of national “Three surveys” and newly revised land-use control indicators for industrial projects, and launched a 2023 campaign to promote “The most beautiful conservationists of nature”. Liu Guohong, vice minister and member of the Party group of the Ministry of Natural Resources; Xia Xinmin, vice governor of the Government of the People's Republic of China of Jiangsu Province; and Chen Zhichang, Mayor of Nanjing Municipal Government, attended and delivered speeches at the event.
The event was co-organised by the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Jiangsu provincial Government of the People's Republic of China, with the General Office of the Ministry of Natural Resources, the publicity and Education Center, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Natural Resources and the Nanjing Government of the People's Republic of China. At the event, the Department of Farmland Protection and supervision of the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Department of Natural Resources Development and utilization introduced the overall promotion of land conservation and intensive use and the establishment of a common responsibility mechanism to strictly abide by the farmland red line; Zhejiang province shared the typical experience of promoting“10 million projects” to improve quality and increase efficiency through comprehensive land improvement The cities of Hunan, Jiangsu, Qingdao and Zhanjiang introduced their practices in land conservation and farmland protection. The Nanjing Library and Nanjing University Library received donations for the third national land survey results series. The site also commended the Jiangsu province to conserve natural resources and intensive use of comprehensive evaluation of outstanding areas.
