Product Features:
JR5161 is a confectionary sunflower hybrid seeds with a growth period of about 110 days, plant height of about 210cm, a flower disk diameter of about 24cm, and long conical seeds. The main color of the seeds is grayish brown, with white edges and white irregular stripes.
Suitable areas:
Grow in sunflower planting areas such as Gansu, Xinjiang, and Inner Mongolia China. (≥10℃ effective temperature of 2300℃ areas for planting confectionary sunflower planting areas)
Recommended cultivation measures:
1. Land selection: It is best to choose land that has not been planted with sunflowers in the past two years, has no herbicide residue, and has medium soil fertility to avoid repeated cropping and new cropping.
2. Sowing time: Each region should plant reasonably according to local climatic conditions. It is recommended to sow at the right time from April 20 to May 10 in Gansu and Xinjiang regions, and from May 10 to June 10 in Inner Mongolia. In order to avoid flowering period encountering high temperatures, it is recommended to sow early at the right time.
3. Scientific fertilization: Apply 30,000 kgs of farmyard manure per hectare, 150 kg of diammonium phosphate as base fertilizer, 225kg of urea per hectare during the budding stage, and appropriately spray potash and boron fertilizers to increase yield and quality.
4. Field management: About 27,000 seedlings per hectare are maintained, and seedlings are checked and thinned in time after emergence. In the early stage of budding, timely cultivating, weeding, fertilizing and watering are required.
5. Flowering period management: During the flowering period, beehives should be placed in the field for bee pollination. Generally, one box of bees is placed every 0.3-0.5 hectare, which can significantly increase production. In areas without bee conditions, bee hives should be placed 2-3 times during the blooming period. Artificial pollination can significantly improve the seed setting rate.
6. Harvest period: When the color of the back of the flower disc turns yellow, harvest it in time and protect it from rain during the drying process to avoid peeling.
